all the old dead heads
came out to see the new shows
...life without jerry
first empty, then full
like a sandstone container
red rocks phils with fans
the denver skyline
shimmering like a mirage
above the bright stage
the rock walls echo
musical flights of fancy
then turn to silence
hips and arms waggling
happy dead-heads everywhere
time has not gone by ....patty
see, even bob weir
has a grey beard and bald spot
but the groove keeps on ...patty
if one more cigarette
lights up by me, i'll have to
tear someone's hair out! ...patty
